Movie Review: The Love Guru

This is my Love Guru review that is featured as a contribution over at Geeks of Doom.

The Love Guru is a raunchy comedy worthy only of Mike Myers. His newest character, Guru Pitka, is a cross between a horny Siddhartha and a hyped up Austin Powers on crack.

It has been awhile since we have seen Myers on the big screen in a live-action comedy and after his disastrous Cat in the Hat, people were wondering when the characterization genius would introduce us to someone new.

Guru Pitka, an American-born East Indian mystic character is a project Myers has been working even before he brought the “Shag Me Rotten” spy to the big screen…(read more).

  1. Myers is just trying to bide his time until Austin Powers becomes nostalgic. This was just the poor mans Peter Sellers film…Myers is entertaining, the supporting cast struggled…Timberlake works merely as shock humor, but turn in a performance equal to Beyonce in A.P.3, filler and ploy to draw young people to see a film created by 40 and 50 year old men. The film was worth about $5.29 of my $12…well $24 with date…but she will have to speak for herself
