DVD Review: Batman Begins Box Gift Set

BATMAN BEGINS (LIMITED EDITION GIFT SET)

So I am one of those people who never bought Batman Begins because I have been waiting to get it on Blu-Ray but then I never bought a Blu-Ray player so that has to wait… so the next best thing but is splurging on a cool box set, Warner Bros. has released this limited edition gift set, which also marks the first time the movie’s been made available on Blu-ray (At least it is on Bu-Ray now!). In addition to the Two-Disc Special Edition of the film, it comes with an exclusive sneak peek of The Dark Knight, a ticket to see The Dark Knight in theaters (up to $7.50), a 128MB flash drive including 18 images from The Dark Knight, a Batman Begins lenticular and five collectible Batman Begins post cards.

Special Features: Aside from all the box set goodies (listed above), the special features are the same as what was found on the previous two-disc release.

Other Formats: Blu-Ray

So what did I find attractive about this purchase…first off the price of $27.99 was great and then the ticket, which hopefully I will be able to redeem…when I see the film. Ultimately the swag that is included in the set is cool but minus the ticket and the 2 disc DVD I would say spring for the Blu-Ray version if you can. The Sneak Peak of the Dark Knight that is included is simply the Wizard World Dark Knight Trailer in High Definition, which is still cool. If you love Batman, like myself and want the neat memorabilia get it. I do not regret my purchase and if you get it at Best Buy you can get a Joker Lithograph…that is exclusive to them.

If you haven’t seen the 2-disc Batman Begins, the special features are great and reveal some mighty cool behind the scenes footage including my favorite, “Reinventing the Batmobile.”

If you like Box sets, Batman Begins and want to splurge a little then get this set it is worth it. Oh yeah the movie isn’t bad either.
