Terminator 4 gets an R-rating and New Footage at Comic-Con!

So Dave3 and Eve, from Geeks of Doom are at Comic-Con and they recently just updated there site with some interesting news regarding the Terminator 4 film based on a panel with McG.

Here is what they had to say regarding the footage they just saw.

We just saw some footage from film and it looks amazing! Right now, McG, along with members of the film’s cast — Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Common, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Bale is off in Japan supported The Dark Knight, but McG called him from the stage and left him a message so he could hear the fans’ reaction to the news that they’d be seeing never-seen-before footage from the film. Sounds like they are having a good time and I defintely wish I was there to see it with them. Oh well we will defintely be there next year to get all the Fused film coverage on all things film at Comic-Con. I will say this that I have been saying Terminator 4 is going to be awesome form the start but no-one listened to me. Noe everyone is getting on the bandwagon. Dave 3 and Eve are also reporting they are getting an R-rating for the movie, which makes me feel better and I beleive the movie’s violence will be awesome and something James Cameron may be proud of and give his blessing as well.

UPDATE:

Dave Chen at Slashfilm is reporting that McG at the panel mentioned that Dark Knight scribe, Jonathan Nolan is the lead scribe on Terminator Salvation…but he is not credited on IMDB yet. According to Chen’s article,

Nolan was “the lead writer of the film,” and “I don’t know how the WGA rules work but honest to goodness, we did the heaviest lifting with Jonah.” Read More @ Slashfilm

This is interesting news for those who believe that Terminator 4 won’t have a lot of good quality story telling to it. Having the TDK scribe playing a major role in the script isn’t bad and just further proves what I said above and have been saying all along, this movie will be awesome!

  1. totally looking forward the new Terminator… Christian Bale tends to do a great job no matter what role he takes

  2. I agree…rule of thumb start a franchise or reboot a film series put Christian Bale in it.

Also the fact that McG is underrated going into this movie I think it will surprise many people.
