Entertainment Tonight and Film School Rejects have caught word that Shia LaBeouf has recovered and is ready to return to Michael Bay’s Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen set today, Thursday August 14, 2008.

LaBeouf and his passenger/co-star Isabel Lucas were involved in an early morning car accident on July 27 when another driver ran a red light in Los Angeles and Lebeouf was also apparently drinking. LaBeouf, who received an injury to his hand, underwent surgery and is recovering. He was not expected to return to work for 30 days, but it appears LaBeouf is ready to resume filming.

DreamWorks/Paramount is aiming for a June 26, 2009 release for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

I have been relatively quiet regarding his incident but I will say that he is an idiot and as much money as he has he should have been paying somebody to drive him around or have at least thrown some cash out for a cab ride. It makes no sense to me. I was strapped for cash all the time in college but when I was out drinking I splurged for the cab or a ride from a friends. Now Transformers has had to be on hold…if I was Paramount I would dock Lebeouf’s paycheck a little bit. Anyway it is nice to see the film getting back on schedule and I can’t wait to see it.
