Megatron back in Transformers 2?
CHUD got some news regarding Megatron’s appearance in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Speculation to his return has always been wondered since the end of the movie but as hardcore fans know he probably wasn’t officially dead and would make some kind of return.
Last week MTV essentially reran a story we ran months ago, but with different sources: yes, the villain in Transformers 2 is The Fallen, the Satan equivalent Transformer from the recent comic books. Now I’m coming at you with new TF2 news: Megatron is coming back.
OK, I don’t think there’s a soul out there who will be surprised when Megatron returns in Transformers 2*. If the current incarnation of the script follows the beats of a previous incarnation (which did not feature The Fallen), Megatron may be getting brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I’ve learned that this time he won’t be that weird alien jet. This time he’s a tank.
This seems to follow what we have been hearing for the most part on this movie that the Decepticons and Autobots would have to team up against “The Fallen”, a greater force bent on complete destruction. I am glad Megatron is back though and can’t wait to see this movie. I am careful to say that could be Bay’s little tricks he throws out to the fanboys but I doubt it, this seems pretty logical.

This is pretty much what happened almost everytime something bigger than the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS came about in the comics or the show. So it will be pretty cool to see the Autobots and Decepticons have to team up to take down… THE FALLEN!
