Veronica Mars: The Movie? Is it in the works?
It seems that Kristen Bell’s popular series, Veronica Mars, might be getting the a big screen adaptation. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that series, creator Rob Thomas recently talked with series star Kristin Bell about a movie possibility.
“Kristen and I ran into each other, and we did discuss a Veronica movie,” Thomas said. He also added that he has had, “a few conversations” with executive producer Joel Silver about a possible movie.
The article goes on to say that Thomas said that the movie would be a “top priority” once his time is freed up from the two TV pilots he’s overseeing, a remake of his 1998 series Cupid and an Americanized version of the New Zealand program, Outrageous Fortune, both of which he’s doing for ABC.
I am ok with this if it happens. I have seen some of the show and enjoy it as well as Kristen Bell. I have never really warmed completely to the show because I always thought it was kind of a rip off from the Chloe Character in Smallville. That being said it still isn’t a bad show and I could see a movie happening soon. I think the more important news in this story is that ABC is remaking Cupid, which was one of my favorite shows back in ‘98, I wonder if Jeremy Piven is coming back to play the character? This is something I would like to hear more about.
