Nicole Kidman is attached to star and produce The Eighth Wonder, Simon Kinberg’s action-adventure pitch for 20th Century Fox.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but the story centers on an archeological discovery that sets off a globe-spanning race. The goal is to create a movie that will be to Raiders of the Lost Ark what the The Bourne movies were to the James Bond movies: a character-driven, treasure-hunting thriller.

Kinberg will write the script in the fall.

This seems intriguing. Although I am not a fan of Kidman and it is hard for me to get excited about a movie where she is the star, especially where she will be playing the presumed lead role as some kind of archeaologist that is set off in whirlwind of global proportions to race against time. I mean I am speculating at this point but they did this movie with Angelina Jolie, it was called Tomb Raider!
