Recap: 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Justin’s recap of the Emmy Awards
The Emmy’s are part of my holy trinity of award shows that I look forward to every year (along with the Oscar’s and Grammy’s).
The Night started with Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars:
Michael Phelps, Tracy Morgan, Salma Hayek, All 5 hosts of the Emmys (Tom Bergeron, Jeff Probst, Ryan Seacrest, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum). It had a few funny moments (Tracey Morgan bursting onto the set of How I Met Your Mother) but all in all it was not worth watching.

All in all it was an ok show, nothing really spectacular (like last years celebration by Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert/Steve Carrell). The show looked great in HD and the standout moments for me were Ricky Gervais giving tips on accepting awards and Josh Groban’s performance. The worst part of the show was without a doubt the 5 reality TV show hosts. I love reality TV but why did there need to be five hosts? They just were not funny and seemed to be a waste of time throughout the show.
My Big Winners of the Night:
- Ricky Gervais
- Alec Baldwin
- Josh Groban
- Don Rickles
My Big Losers of the Night:
- The 5 hosts

No wins for Extras = Fail
No nominations for countless great shows equal FAIL. The Emmy’s suck ass. They will continue to suck ass until they realize that they have some of the shittiest taste in TV a lot of the time.
