Brolin is Jonah Hex?

Hollywood Elsewhere has reported that Josh Brolin will star in Jonah Hex, directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor for Warner Bros.

Based on the graphic novel the film will follow Hex–known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform–a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood.

This isn’t a bad choice assuming it is true. That being said last I heard Brolin was being pegged to play Snake Plissken in a re-make of Escape from New York. I want to hear more about that project. However, Jonah Hex is a cool character and would make for an interesting movie if it done right. However, I worry about the oversaturation of graphic novels to the big screen.
