TrekMovie have word that we will be getting a new Star Trek trailer in November.

A source tells TrekMovie the theatrical trailer coming in November “is not a teaser, but a real trailer with footage from the film.” Edits are still being made, but it is expected to show the Enterprise exterior and the Enterprise bridge as well as dialog from movie. Which weekend in November the trailer will be released is still up in the air.

TrekMovie also goes on to say that we should expect more imagery to be released and also there will be the beginning of interviews, including some major magazines.

So much like the Dark Knight was the curtain is slowly rising and fans will soon be able to determine if Trek is truly back or if it is some bastardized version of a classic, time will tell. That being said I just started my Chris Pine Film Festival, watching Smokin Aces and Just My Luck, consensus thus far is Pine is much like Shatner in his “hacky” charm but the these two movies are not enough to get me to believe he can pull off the greatest character of all time - James Tiberius Kirk. This revelation makes me sad too because if he can be great as Kirk I really see him being the Green Lantern.
